An application to amend the Sahtú Land Use Plan (“SLUP” or “Plan”) has been made by the Sahtú Land Use Planning Board (“SLUPB” or “Board’). The application is made following the creation of the Ts’udé Nı̨lį́né Tuyeta Protected Area within the SLUP Zone 65 PCI (Proposed Conservation Initiative).

Notice of Call for Expressions of Interest - Chairperson, Sahtú Land Use Planning Board - August 6, 2020
The members of the Sahtú Land Use Planning Board (SLUPB) are inviting interested persons to submit their qualifications to be nominated to the Minister of Northern Affairs Canada (NAC) as Chairperson of the SLUPB.  The term of the current chairperson ends on February 16, 2021.  The members of the SLUPB will submit nominations to the Minister of Northern Affairs for the Chairperson after the closing date of this call.  The Board may give preference to Participants of the SDMCLCA who normally reside in the Sahtú Settlement Area for the nominations to the Minister.
