The Sahtu Land Use Planning Board (SLUPB) will be hosting 5-Year Review Update and Gathering meetings in all 5 Sahtú communities.
Hiring of New Executive Director - August 24, 2018
The Sahtu Land Use Planning Board (SLUPB) is pleased to announce the hiring of Melanie Harding, RPP, MCIP as the Board’s new Executive Director. The Board would like to welcome Melanie to the Sahtu Region and to Fort Good Hope, NT. Melanie comes with a background in Comprehensive Community Planning and Regional Planning. Melanie will be based out of the SLUPB office in Fort Good Hope and will be working with the Board and staff to move the 5-year review of the land use plan forward.
Notice of Amendment Approval by SLUPB - August 15, 2018
On May 24, 2018, the Sahtu Land Use Planning Board approved the SLUP Amendment Application from January 9th, 2017, as posted on the SLUPB’s registry (AM2015-01), with no changes. This amendment pertains to necessary zoning changes following the creation of the Nááts’ihch’oh National Park Reserve. The Amendment Application and related materials are available at the SLUPB office in Fort Good Hope and on the SLUPB on-line registry at: https://sahtulanduseplan.org/am2015-01.

The Sahtu Land Use Planning Board (SLUPB) is pleased to release its Opinion Paper: Sahtu Land Use Plan, The First 5 Years: A Look Back to Move Forward.  This document was prepared to communicate the SLUPB’s comprehensive review of the Sahtu Land Use Plan’s first 5 years of implementation as mandated under Section 50 of the Mackenzie Valley Resource Management Act.
Call for Expressions of Interest: Chairperson, Sahtu Land Use Planning Board (SLUPB) - September 27, 2017
The term for the current Chairperson ends on February 15, 2018.  The Members of the SLUPB will submit nominations to the Minister of Indigenous and Northern Affairs for the Chairperson after the closing date of this call. To be considered, applicants must submit a letter of interest and resume to the SLUPB in person, by post, email, or fax by 5:00 PM on Nov. 3, 2017.
SLUPB Response to written submissions received on the SLUP Amendment Application - March 14, 2017
The SLUPB has posted written submissions received to the January 9, 2017 Sahtu Land Use Plan Amendment Application, as well as the SLUPB’s review of those comments to its online registry.  These documents as well as the Amendment Application and all scoping documents can be found at: www.sahtulanduseplan.org/am2015-01.
