Comment Period Extended - July 17, 2015
The Board has extended the period in which it will receive written comments on The BACKGROUND REPORT: AMENDING THE SAHTU LAND USE PLAN FOLLOWING THE CREATION OF THE NÁÁTS'IHCH'OH NATIONAL PARK RESERVE until Monday August 3, 2015. This is to give planning partners additional time to provide input on the process following the three public meetings held in Tulita, Norman Wells, and Yellowknife.

Naats'ihch'oh - January 30, 2015
On December 16, 2014 the Nááts'ihch'oh National Park Reserve received royal assent. Effective this date, the SLUP no longer applies within the new national park reserve boundaries (per MVRMA Section 34). Users of the SLUP should note the new boundaries for Zone 41 (Nááts'ihch'oh). Lands within Zone 41, not included in the new national park reserve, will remain zoned as Proposed Conservation Initiative (PCI) until the SLUP is amended. Updated GIS SLUP Zoning Shapefiles are now available for download.

The Board adopted the Sahtu Land Use Planning Board (SLUPB) Rules of Procedure at the last Board Meeting, held on October 23-24, 2014.
