Development Archive

The Approved Sahtu Land Use Plan was the product of 15 years of development. The cyclical planning process generated multiple draft Plans which were subject to public review and comment, followed by SLUPB revision. The following files are presented as an archive and record of the Plan’s evolution. Files are organized chronologically by the primarily Board deliverables.

This Final Draft was prepared for the 3 approval parties (The Sahtu Secretariat Incorporated, The Government of the North West Territories, and the Government of Canada) and delivered on February 5, 2013 prior to the Board’s finalization and adoption.Read more
The Tri-Partite meeting was held on September 6-7, 2012. The purpose was to host a final meeting with the approval parties to present the Board’s understanding of agreed upon items for inclusion into the Plan, as well as outstanding issues to resolve prior to drafting of the Final Plan.Read more
