The Board is composed of five members. Two members are nominated by the Sahtu Secretariat Incorporated (SSI), one member is nominated by the Government of the Northwest Territories, and one member is nominated by the Government of Canada. A Chairperson is nominated by the four appointed members. All members are appointed by the Minister of Northern Affairs Canada.
